Token marketplace Magic Eden partnered with decentralized cloud phone APhone to sell its Access Passes. Each pass grants the user a one-year access to APhone’s services and will be available in the marketplace for a 0.2 SOL price and limited to 5,000 units.
APhone is a virtual mobile that users can download into their smartphones, allowing access to more hardware-demanding applications, tapping into the DePIN narrative. The project utilizes the GPU cloud infrastructure from decentralized cloud service provider Aethir.
“We are excited to offer APhone Access Passes on Magic Eden, one of the biggest and most well-known digital collectibles marketplaces in the Web3 space,” said WIlliam Peckham, APhone’s Chief Business Officer. “In line with the core principles of decentralization, APhone passes allow any smartphone user to effortlessly enjoy all the benefits of Web3 regardless of their devices’ technical limitations, making it accessible for everyone.”
Moreover, users who acquire their passes through Magic Eden will get an extra “10 key rewards” for each unit, which is registered as a non-fungible token (NFT). These key rewards can be exchanged for future token airdrops. On top of that, Magic Eden will also offer a 25% boost in their Diamond Rewards for APhone pass buyers.
“APhone gives game and app developers freedom from the restrictions and control of web2 app stores. We’re excited to see how web3 game studios leverage the APhone DApp Store to launch and scale their games,” said Chris Akhavan, Chief Revenue Officer at Magic Eden.
