GM, Crypto Briefers!

Bitcoin’s pain loop is far from over. After briefly bouncing near $90K, the largest crypto is still trading in no-man’s-land with ETF outflows piling up and sentiment stuck in fear. Since Monday, U.S.-listed BTC and ETH ETFs have shed more than $1B in just two days.

Traders are calling it oversold, RSI flashing 44, but no real bounce is sticking. Metals, meanwhile, are pumping—silver just hit a $66 ATH and a $3.7T mcap, leapfrogging Google to become the fourth-largest asset in the world.

But don’t tell Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan the cycle is over. In his preview of Bitwise’s 2026 predictions, Hougan said BTC will break tradition and post new all-time highs in 2026, not a typical down year. He pointed to rate cuts, fading halving effects, cleaner regulation, and institutional inflows from the likes of Morgan Stanley and Merrill.
