Tron’s founder, Justin Sun, will blast off into space on the upcoming Blue Origin New Shepard NS-34 mission, joining five other crew members after winning the first seat auction with a $28 million bid in 2021.

Also participating in the 14th human spaceflight are Arvi Bahal, Gökhan Erdem, Deborah Martorell, Lionel Pitchford, and James Russell. The mission marks the 34th overall flight, with Blue Origin having transported 70 people beyond the Kármán line to date.

The specific date for the launch has not yet been set, but Blue Origin has promised to announce it soon.

The proceeds from Sun’s winning bid supported 19 space-focused charities through Blue Origin’s Club for the Future foundation, with each organization receiving $1 million to promote STEAM careers and space innovation.

“Proud to join Blue Origin’s NS-34 mission and continue encouraging youth to pursue their dreams in science and space!” said Sun in a statement.

The crypto billionaire has been in the spotlight for partaking in a series of high-profile events.

In May, he joined a private dinner with President Donald Trump at his golf club in Virginia. He earned his seat as the top holder of the TRUMP meme token, investing over $18 million.

The exclusive event welcomed the top 220 token holders, with the top 25 receiving VIP access and meeting Trump in person. Sun was also gifted with a Trump-branded watch valued at $100,000 during the evening.
