OpenAI has rolled out OpenAI for Healthcare, a product suite aimed at enhancing high-quality care, reducing administrative workload, and supporting HIPAA compliance in healthcare institutions.

The suite includes GPT-5 models tailored for healthcare, enabling real-time clinical decisions and data management, with initial integration at prominent institutions like AdventHealth and UCSF. The OpenAI API also supports HIPAA-compliant applications, further integrating AI into healthcare systems.

OpenAI said it partnered with more than 260 licensed physicians across 60 countries over the past two years to evaluate model performance, reviewing more than 600,000 model outputs across 30 focus areas.
