Sky Mavis has introduced today the Ronin Forge, an early access program designed to propel the development of Web3 games. Selected studios will receive a $50,000 grant and the opportunity to build on the Ronin blockchain, leveraging its technology infrastructure and gaming community.

Ronin Forge is currently accepting applications, targeting teams with games nearing global launch. Successful participants may ascend to Studio Partner status, gaining additional support and funding up to $500,000.

“Ronin Forge is the next step in further opening up Ronin for builders. By offering grants and access to the Sky Mavis ecosystem, this will serve as an experimental ground for developing the next generation of Web3 games. We aim to encourage innovation and build network effects, inviting like-minded studios to join on our path towards scaling the Ronin Network,” shared Sky Mavis Chairman, COO and Co-Founder, Aleksander Leonard Larsen.

Ronin reached the peak of 1.55 million daily unique active wallets on May 15th, which made over 1.6 million transactions, reveals data from DappRadar.

Moreover, according to DappRadar’s “State of Blockchain Gaming in Q1 2024” report, Ronin is the second-largest gaming blockchain when it comes to active wallets, boasting a 334% quarter-on-quarter growth.

Blockchain gaming is seen as a hot narrative in crypto for the current bull cycle by players such as Binance, which included this sector in their “Full-Year 2023 & Themes for 2024” report as a “key trend” to keep an eye out for in 2024.
