Strategy acquires $2.1B in Bitcoin, holdings top 709,000 BTC

Strategy, the enterprise software company and largest corporate Bitcoin holder, has added 22,305 Bitcoin to its treasury at an average price of $95,284 per coin, according to its latest disclosure.

The purchase was funded by approximately $2.1 billion in net proceeds raised through the sale of common stock and preferred stock under the company’s at-the-market (ATM) offering.
Strategy now holds a total of 709,715 BTC worth nearly $65 billion, reinforcing its position as the largest Bitcoin treasury company.
Shares of Strategy dropped about 5% in premarket trading. The firm’s stock has historically been viewed by institutional investors as a proxy for gaining Bitcoin exposure without direct custody.
