The outage marks the second major disruption in under a year. In November 2024, developers disclosed a bug that caused validators to crash, halting the network and raising concerns over stability. The Sui Core team is actively working on resolving the issue and will provide updates as they become available.
Despite a brief spike that sent SUI to a daily high of $1.96, potentially buoyed by broader market sentiment as Bitcoin surged past $97K, the token quickly reversed course. At press time, SUI had dropped over 6% from its daily peak to trade around $1.82.
