Seoul, Korea, September 2nd, 2025, Chainwire
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), the digital-asset firm backed by U.S. President Donald Trump and his family, will officially join EastPoint:Seoul 2025 as a co-host, with CEO and Co-founder Zach Witkoff headlining the event. The invite-only forum will be held on September 22, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul and is co-hosted by Hashed, Bloomingbit, and The Korea Economic Daily.
WLFI’s founding group includes members of the Trump family and close associates, notably Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy for peace agreements, and his sons. Zach Witkoff is the CEO and co-founder of WLFI, travelling to Seoul for the first time to speak at EastPoint and outline the firm’s strategic direction.
Notable U.S. policymakers are also confirmed, including Harry Jung, Deputy Director of the President’s Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, and Caroline D. Pham, Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Senior executives from the two largest stablecoin issuers, Tether and Circle, will also attend to discuss their business strategy, including Bo Hines, Strategic Advisor for Digital Assets & U.S. Strategy at Tether (formerly the White House digital-asset policy lead).
On the Korean side, attendees will include lawmakers Min Byung-deok, Kim Jae-seop, and Lee Jun-seok, along with leaders from the four major commercial banks (KB, Shinhan, Hana, Woori), major securities firms, asset managers, and large enterprises.
International institutions slated to participate include SMBC Nikko Securities, Mastercard, PayPal Ventures, and leading global exchanges such as Upbit, Bithumb, and Binance. The Sui Foundation is the Title Sponsor of EastPoint:Seoul 2025.
A hallmark of EastPoint is its closed-door roundtable format: small groups of 5–6 senior figures convene for off-the-record, strategy-focused discussions—eschewing formal speeches to pursue practical solutions across policy, capital, and technology.
“It is a great honor for WLFI to co-host EastPoint,” said Zach Witkoff, co-founder of WLFI. “We look forward to sharing our vision and building meaningful relationships.”
Sanha Kim, CEO of Bloomingbit, stated, “We are proud to welcome WLFI as co-host. This partnership marks a pivotal moment for Korea to emerge as a central stage in the global digital asset market, in step with the United States.”
Simon Kim, CEO of Hashed, added, “EastPoint is a platform where policymakers, institutions, and technology builders come together to shape the future of digital assets. Korea hosting this discussion highlights our position at the very heart of the coming transformation.”
