Arbitrum issues security alert after DAO X account compromise
Users are advised to avoid all interaction with the account as recovery efforts continue.
Arbitrum, the Ethereum layer 2 scaling network, has issued a security alert after the official X account of the Arbitrum DAO was compromised and used to publish unauthorized posts advertising a supposed airdrop and “snapshot confirmation,” alongside links to a third-party site.

The @arbitrumdao_gov account has been compromised. Do not click any links or interact with posts from that account until further notice.

The posts were pinned and reshared, increasing their visibility before the issue was identified.
Arbitrum said it is working to recover access to the compromised account and will provide updates as the situation develops.
