FlameZ achieves best-ever rating in Major map performance
The Vitality entry fragger continues his ascent as one of CS2's most dominant players on the biggest stage
Shahar “flameZ” Shushan just posted the highest individual map rating of his Major career. For a player who already has two Major titles and a top-ten HLTV ranking, that’s saying something.
The 22-year-old Israeli entry fragger, playing under the Team Vitality banner, hit the mark during Major competition, a setting where pressure tends to flatten performance rather than elevate it.
A career built on showing up when it counts
FlameZ has participated in six Major tournaments across his career. He’s won two of them, including the StarLadder Budapest Major in 2025.
For those unfamiliar with CS2 ratings, a rating of 1.00 means you’re performing at an average professional level. Anything above that means you’re outperforming your peers. FlameZ has been posting ratings around 1.18 in recent events, which places him firmly in elite territory.
The 2025-2026 trajectory
HLTV placed him at number seven in the world for 2025. That ranking reflected consistent excellence across the entire calendar year, not just a few hot tournaments.
Born on June 22, 2003, flameZ is still just 22 years old. FlameZ began his esports career with teams such as Endpoint and OG before joining Team Vitality in June 2023.
Two Major victories with Vitality cement a legacy that most professional players never even approach. The vast majority of CS2 professionals go their entire careers without winning a single Major. FlameZ has two before his 23rd birthday.
His ratings across sampled periods hover around 1.18, a number that reflects sustained dominance rather than occasional brilliance.
