PGL hosts final day of North America qualifier for TI15
Four Dota 2 teams battle for a single slot at The International 2026 in PGL's double-elimination bracket
The North America Regional Qualifier for The International 2026, better known as TI15, reached its final stretch this week. PGL, the tournament organizer, is running the last day of competition where four teams are fighting over a single direct slot to one of esports’ most prestigious championships.
The format and the field
PGL structured the qualifier as a double-elimination bracket, hosted on US East servers and running from June 24 through June 26, 2026. The competing rosters are GamerLegion, GG Boom, The Bug, and 4 Anchors and Ilmeria. Only one of these four teams will earn North America’s direct slot to TI 2026.
Why The International still matters
The single-slot allocation for North America tells its own story about the region’s standing in the global Dota 2 ecosystem.
PGL has become one of the go-to organizers for Valve’s Dota 2 circuit, handling production, broadcasting, and logistics for regional qualifiers and major events alike. Their official channels serve as the primary streaming destination for matches.
No crypto integration in sight
This event carries zero crypto, blockchain, or Web3 components. No NFT ticket stubs, no token-gated viewing, no fan tokens, no on-chain betting integrations.
Valve banned blockchain-based games from Steam back in 2021, and that philosophical stance appears to extend to its esports properties.
