Raphinha ruled out for Brazil’s match against Norway due to injury
Barcelona winger's hamstring tear during the Haiti match sidelines him for at least two more World Cup games, raising questions about his crypto endorsement deals and NFT card valuations
Raphinha’s 2026 World Cup just hit a wall. The Barcelona winger suffered a hamstring injury during Brazil’s group-stage match against Haiti on June 19, and now he’s confirmed to miss Brazil’s upcoming clash with Norway.
The injury, diagnosed as a muscle fiber tear in his right thigh, forced him off the pitch in the 40th minute of what ended up being a comfortable 3-0 victory over Haiti.
What we know about the injury timeline
The fiber tear is serious enough to rule Raphinha out of Brazil’s final group match against Scotland in addition to the Norway game. He’s also expected to miss the round-of-32 fixture.
The earliest realistic return date would be a potential round-of-16 match on or after July 5.
The crypto angle nobody’s ignoring
Back in April 2025, Raphinha starred in Bitget’s La Liga advertising campaign, promoting crypto trading tools including Copy Trading and Launchpool features. Bitget serves as the official crypto partner of La Liga, and Raphinha was a central face of their marketing push aimed at younger audiences.
Raphinha is also featured in Panini’s LaLiga Select NFT trading card series, where card valuations are at least partially tied to on-field performance.
No specific token crashes or on-chain movements have been directly linked to the injury announcement.
