Transfer agents are responsible for maintaining the official register of security ownership, updating records when assets change hands and ensuring ownership rights remain enforceable. Injective said moving that function onto blockchain infrastructure would improve transparency while maintaining regulatory compliance.
The company said the move will help support the growth of tokenized real-world assets by combining compliant ownership records with sub-second settlement, allowing regulated securities to be issued and traded more efficiently in the US.
