Binance lists 227 futures pairs in 2026, with most tracking traditional assets

About 70% of this year's new contracts are tied to stocks, ETFs and commodities rather than crypto

Binance has added 227 futures pairs so far in 2026. The surprising part is what they track.

About 70% of those new listings are tied to traditional assets rather than crypto. The world’s best-known crypto exchange is spending most of its listing energy on things that also trade on Wall Street.

What Binance has been adding

The listings have arrived in batches. October offers a clear snapshot of how the exchange is approaching the rollout.

On October 21, 2026, Binance launched four perpetual contracts linked to traditional finance underlyings: CEGUSDT, BACUSDT, IBKRUSDT and MDTUSDT. The group includes contracts tracking Constellation Energy and Bank of America.

Five days later, on October 26, it added four more: EIDOUSDT, EQTUSDT, STMUSDT and ABBVUSDT. Once again, the lineup leaned toward individual equities and equity ETFs rather than digital tokens.

All of these are USDⓈ-margined perpetual contracts. A perpetual future is a bet on an asset’s price that never expires. Traditional futures have a settlement date, like a library book due back on a set day. A perpetual has no due date, so a trader can hold the position as long as they keep their margin topped up.

“USDⓈ-margined” means the collateral and profits are denominated in stablecoins rather than in the underlying asset. Every contract on the list is quoted against USDT, the dollar-pegged stablecoin.

The contract mechanics are standardized across the new listings. Tick sizes typically sit at 0.01, and the minimum notional value is 5 USDT. Funding rates settle every eight hours and are capped at ±2%.

The headline feature is the trading schedule. These contracts are open 24/7. Bank of America shares stop trading when the New York closing bell rings. A perpetual tracking them on Binance does not.

From gold and silver to the S&P roster

Binance did not start with individual stocks. Its first move into traditional finance futures came earlier in 2026, when it launched gold (XAUUSDT) and silver (XAGUSDT) contracts.

Once those contracts were live, the exchange moved on to equities and ETFs, which now make up the bulk of the new additions.

Estimates of Binance’s total perpetual pair count range from 500 to 800. Even at the low end, that is a sprawling selection, and the 227 additions this year represent a significant slice of it.

Open interest and volume remain concentrated around the major instruments. A long tail of new listings does not automatically mean a long tail of liquidity.

What this means for traders and the exchange

The most immediate audience is existing Binance users who want exposure to traditional markets without leaving the platform. A crypto trader with stablecoins on the exchange can now take a leveraged position on an energy company or a bank in a few clicks. No brokerage account is required, and there are no market hours to wait for.

Leverage cuts both ways, and around-the-clock trading means positions can be liquidated at 3 a.m. on a Sunday while the underlying stock’s home market is closed. Price discovery during those hours happens on the perpetual itself, not on the exchange where the shares actually trade.

The second is how the funding rate caps behave during periods of stress. A ±2% ceiling every eight hours offers some protection, but it is not a guarantee of calm when an underlying stock gaps on earnings.
