Edward Gaming parts ways with Valorant player cb after brief stint
The Chinese esports powerhouse reportedly moves on from Wang Qingchuan just months after signing him from Nova Esports.
Edward Gaming, one of China’s most decorated esports organizations, has parted ways with Valorant player cb, real name Wang Qingchuan. The move comes roughly eight months after cb joined the roster from Nova Esports in November 2025.
A short chapter in Shanghai
cb officially signed with Edward Gaming on November 22, 2025. The move was part of EDG’s broader preparation for the 2026 VCT China season.
Before transitioning to Valorant, cb had competed in CrossFire HD.
Born on October 4, 2003, cb is just 22 years old.
EDG’s evolving roster philosophy
This isn’t the first time Edward Gaming has made significant personnel changes following periods of success. After their historic VCT 2024 Champions victory, head coach Muggle departed the organization.
EDG has been actively participating in high-stakes tournaments throughout 2026, including Valorant Masters events in Santiago and London.
