Seeker phone owners keep full support as Ledger unveils Atom

Solana Mobile says existing Seeker users will keep getting updates while the Seeker app moves onto Ledger's new Android device

Existing Seeker owners can relax. Solana Mobile says their phones are not being put out to pasture just because a shinier device has entered the chat.

Current Seeker users will continue to receive full support, software updates, dApp Store updates and access to Seeker Season. The assurance arrives as Ledger rolls out Atom, a new Android-based device that ships with the Seeker app preinstalled.

What Ledger actually announced

Ledger unveiled Atom on October 15, 2026, at its Op3n event in Paris. The pitch is a security and privacy device that can also run the everyday apps you would expect on a phone.

The key feature is something Ledger calls Secure Mode. It runs on a Secure Element and Ledger OS, and it exists for one job: reviewing and signing crypto transactions.

Ledger backs that up with hardware choices. Atom includes physical isolation for Android apps, tamper-detection sensors and a data-only 5G eSIM.

That data-only detail matters. The device connects to the internet over cellular, but the eSIM is not set up for traditional phone service.

Every Atom that ships will come with the Seeker app already installed. Seeker, built with Solana Mobile, bundles a wallet and a dApp Store with more than 1,500 applications.

The Seeker ecosystem has handled more than $13 billion in transaction volume across 154 million transactions.

Pricing, timing and the partnership

Reservations opened right away. The Founders Edition is priced at $849 and requires a refundable $100 deposit.

The regular price is set at $899. Shipments are expected by summer 2027, which means buyers are reserving a device they may not hold for many months.

Solana Mobile named Ledger as its first hardware expansion partner. In plain terms, Seeker is no longer tied to a single piece of hardware, and Ledger is the first outside device maker to carry it.

The arrangement is designed so that approvals for Seeker activity can flow through Atom’s Secure Mode. You browse and tap in the open Android environment, then confirm the transaction inside the walled-off section.

Why the Seeker reassurance matters

The commitment covers three things owners care about most: ongoing software updates, continued dApp Store updates and continued access to Seeker Season. According to Solana Mobile, there are no changes to service for existing Seeker phone users.

The context Ledger is launching into

Ledger is best known for hardware wallets, the small dedicated devices people use to keep crypto keys offline. Atom represents a bet that some users want that security model inside something closer to a phone.

The launch also comes as Ledger faces ongoing scrutiny over its supply chain. The concerns center on incidents involving tampered third-party devices.

That backdrop helps explain the emphasis on tamper-detection sensors.

What this means for users, developers and Solana

For Solana, the partnership extends the reach of its mobile strategy beyond its own phone. Ledger’s existing customers get a path into more than 1,500 dApps without leaving a security-focused device.

There is no data yet on how the announcement has affected prices, and the long delivery window keeps sales impact in the speculative category. With shipments expected by summer 2027, the real verdict on Atom will arrive well after the launch-day buzz fades.

For current Seeker owners, the near-term picture is simpler. Their devices keep getting updates, their dApp Store keeps growing and their access to Seeker Season stays intact while Ledger’s new hardware works its way toward store shelves.
