T1 unveils 2025 World Championship skin line honoring Coach Tom
Riot Games immortalizes coach Im 'Tom' Jae-hyeon with a ward skin featuring Dr. Mundo, a direct nod to his championship-winning decision in the finals against KT Rolster.
Winning a third consecutive World Championship is one thing. Getting your own League of Legends skin for it is another level entirely.
Riot Games has released the official T1 2025 World Championship skin line, and the collection does something genuinely rare: it gives real estate to the coaching staff. Coach Im “Tom” Jae-hyeon receives a dedicated ward skin that portrays him as a “Magical Cat Strategist,” complete with a book bearing the image of Dr. Mundo. That detail is not random flavor art. It is a direct callback to a coaching call during the tournament that helped T1 defeat KT Rolster 3-2 in the championship final.
What the skin line actually includes
The full collection covers T1’s roster and key staff across a range of champions. Doran gets Ambessa. Oner gets Xin Zhao. Faker, unsurprisingly, gets Galio. MVP Gumayusi pulls double duty with two skins: Yunara and a Prestige Miss Fortune variant.
The ward skin for Tom is the piece generating the most conversation. The Dr. Mundo reference in Tom’s book ties directly to the finals. The coaching decision around that champion in the 3-2 series against KT Rolster is what the skin quietly commemorates.
The skins arrived in patch 26.14, released around mid-June 2026. That gap between the tournament and the patch drop is standard for championship skin production timelines, which typically run six to twelve months from event to store shelf.
Why this matters beyond the cosmetics
Tom’s ward skin follows a precedent set by the skin created for legendary T1 coach Lee “Kkoma” Sang-hyeok. Riot continuing that pattern with Tom signals that the practice is becoming a genuine tradition rather than a one-off gesture.
Tom, born May 22, 1995 and contracted with T1 through 2026, has become a central figure in how the organization operates its competitive program.
The collection also reportedly includes easter eggs and references to specific moments from the tournament spread across multiple skins.
