Apple Inc., the tech giant behind the iPhone, has purchased the rights to Michael Lewis’s upcoming book titled “Going Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon” about the life story of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF).
The book is scheduled to launch on the same day SBF’s criminal trial commences in New York, on October 3.
The book rights have been bought for a record-breaking $5 million, which exceeds the previous high of $2 million paid for the Harry Potter series.
Before FTX’s collapse, Michael Lewis, the author of “The Big Short”, spent time with SBF researching a book about the company’s success. Lewis’s research included attending an FTX party in the Bahamas, accompanying Sam to the Super Bowl, and visiting him during his house arrest.
