The Nasdaq-listed gaming and ad company keeps doubling its Bitcoin buys as it prepares to become Superplanet

Super League Enterprise just bought 8 more Bitcoin, lifting its stack to 15 BTC.

The Nasdaq-listed company (ticker: SLE), a gaming and digital media advertising business, has been described as Metaplanet’s US subsidiary. Technically, that relationship is still being finalized. A pending transaction would hand Metaplanet roughly 95.7% of Super League’s common stock, and the closing is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

A treasury that keeps doubling

According to an SEC Form 8-K filed on November 2, 2026, Super League acquired the 8 BTC between October 28 and November 1, 2026. The average price came to approximately $78,532 per coin.

This is the fourth purchase in about a month. The company bought 1 BTC on October 10, then 2 BTC on October 16, then 4 BTC between October 22 and 25.

Add it up: 1, 2, 4, 8. Each buy has been exactly double the last one.

For now, the total sits at 15 BTC.

The 2,100 BTC elephant in the room

The real story is the proposed transaction with Metaplanet Inc. (TSE: 3350), the Tokyo-listed firm that has built one of the larger corporate Bitcoin treasuries in the world.

Under the plan, Metaplanet would contribute 2,100 BTC plus $2.5 million in cash. In return, it would receive approximately 95.7% of Super League’s common stock.

That 2,100 BTC represented 4.9% of Metaplanet’s holdings at the time the deal was announced. Metaplanet held somewhere between 43,000 and 44,000 BTC at that point.

After the deal closes, Super League is set to rebrand as Superplanet, Inc. and trade under the ticker SUPA. It would function as Metaplanet’s US-listed Bitcoin treasury vehicle.

The advertising business is expected to continue as a separate unit inside the new structure.

Metaplanet is also expected to take board control through preferred stock and warrants.

Shareholders said yes, loudly

Super League shareholders approved the Metaplanet transaction on October 16, 2026. That was the same day the company made its second Bitcoin purchase.

The vote wasn’t close. Holders cast 1,055,621 shares in favor and 25,314 against.

With approval in hand, the remaining step is the closing itself. The companies expect that to happen in the fourth quarter of 2026, though until it does, the deal remains pending.
