About Nesa
Nesa is a Layer-1 blockchain built for decentralized, verifiable AI model inference and on-chain AI computation, with a focus on privacy. The protocol was developed by the Nesa organization, with core documentation and token design published in 2025 and 2026. The mainnet launched on 9 May 2026, creating one billion NES tokens at genesis. The token generation event and major exchange listings followed around 24 June 2026. Nesa uses a proof-of-stake-style consensus model where validator and miner nodes stake NES to participate in chain validation while also performing AI inference and oracle-style computation. ## Token use and supply NES is the native token, used to pay transaction and AI inference fees, to stake and operate validator or miner nodes, to reward node operators and model developers, and to vote on protocol governance proposals. The genesis supply is fixed at one billion tokens, distributed according to an emission and unlock schedule spanning roughly four to five years. Annual supply inflation starts at approximately eight percent and declines toward a long-term rate of around 1.8 percent.
