Cloud9 promotes IWDominate to head coach, signs YamatoCannon and Arrow as assistants
Cloud9 reshuffles its LCS coaching staff heading into 2026, elevating IWDominate from analyst to head coach in a long-term organizational bet.
Cloud9 is making moves in the coaching department, promoting IWDominate to head coach of its League of Legends Championship Series squad. The announcement signals a meaningful structural shift for one of North American esports’ most recognizable organizations.
How IWDominate got here
IWDominate joined Cloud9 in a consulting capacity during 2025, working behind the scenes before the organization committed more formally to his involvement. By October 2025, he had reached a verbal agreement to serve as Strategic Coach for the 2026 LCS season, initially operating under head coach Inero.
That 2026 staff, which included IWDominate in an assistant capacity, earned recognition as Coaching Staff of the Split for Spring 2026.
His contract as head coach runs through the day after Worlds 2028. That’s not a one-year audition. Cloud9 is treating this as a multi-year project.
