About Bitway
Bitway is a Bitcoin-native Layer 1 blockchain protocol that connects idle digital capital, including stablecoins and Bitcoin, with institutional-grade yield strategies in decentralized finance and traditional markets. The project is built around Bitway Ledger, a proof-of-stake Layer 1 that supports native Bitcoin wallet formats like Taproot and Native SegWit without requiring EVM wallets or token bridges. No widely verified founder names or founding year appear in major reference sources, and public materials focus on the protocol itself rather than individual creators. The BTW token generation event and public launch took place on 2 March 2026. BTW is the native token of the ecosystem and is used for gas fees on Bitway Ledger, staking to secure the network, governance voting, and ecosystem incentives and rewards. BTW also exists as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and a BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain. The total supply of BTW is capped at 10 billion tokens, with approximately 2.7 to 2.8 billion currently in circulation, following a fixed-cap deflationary model. Bitway describes itself as an on-chain capital gateway that deploys Bitcoin and stablecoin liquidity into transparent financial strategies in both DeFi and traditional markets.
