About Collector Crypt
Collector Crypt is a Solana-based collectibles platform that tokenizes authenticated physical trading cards and facilitates their trading, with a focus on graded cards such as Pokémon. Tuom Holmberg founded the platform in 2023, with Dax Herrera and Richard Shafer as co-founders and early builders. The native CARDS token launched on August 29, 2025, through Metaplex Genesis. Collector Crypt runs on the Solana blockchain and uses Solana's proof-of-stake network rather than a separate consensus mechanism. The CARDS token is used for platform transactions including pack and Gacha purchases, marketplace activity, and treasury and buyback mechanics. CARDS has no governance function and is designed primarily as a proxy for activity within the card economy. The total maximum supply is capped at 2 billion tokens, allocated across the foundation, community, team, investors, advisors, public sale, and liquidity. The platform links physical card collecting with on-chain trading infrastructure through the CARDS token.
