About EUR CoinVertible

EUR CoinVertible is a euro-pegged, fiat-backed stablecoin issued under the European Union's MiCA electronic money token regime. It is designed for regulated on-chain cash settlement, payments, and collateral management on public blockchains. The token is created and issued by Société Générale, FORGE, the digital-asset subsidiary of the French banking group Société Générale. EURCV first launched on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token in April 2023 and has since been deployed on Solana, the XRP Ledger, and Stellar. It does not operate its own consensus mechanism, instead relying on the consensus of each host blockchain (for example, Ethereum's proof-of-stake). Each EURCV token is intended to track one euro on a one-to-one basis. Backing comes from euro cash deposits and high-quality liquid euro-denominated securities held in segregated accounts at Société Générale. The token is used by institutional and regulated market participants for on-chain euro settlement of tokenized assets, treasury and collateral management, and interaction with crypto markets under KYC and AML requirements. It is not used for staking or governance. EURCV has no fixed maximum supply. Supply expands and contracts with demand and reserves, with total supply reported at roughly 160 to 170 million tokens as of 2026.
