Bitmine adds 53,501 ETH as treasury value reaches $15.6 billion
The latest purchase marks 65 consecutive weeks of ETH acquisitions since Bitmine began its Ethereum Treasury Strategy last June.
Bitmine has moved closer to its 5% Ethereum ownership target, purchasing another 53,501 ETH and lifting its treasury to 5,901,112 ETH as of Aug. 30. At $2,511 per ETH, the holdings represent about 4.9% of the total Ethereum supply and put Bitmine 98% of the way toward its stated “Alchemy of 5%” goal.
The latest purchase extends Bitmine’s buying streak to 65 straight weeks, dating back to the launch of its ETH Treasury Strategy in June 2025. The company now has 5.07 million ETH staked, equal to 86% of its Ethereum holdings. Bitmine said annualized staking revenue is projected at $335 million, based on its reported 7-day staking yield of 2.63%.
Bitmine’s broader holdings totaled $15.6 billion at the end of Aug. 30, including $541 million of cash and marketable securities, 211 BTC, a $180 million investment in Beast Industries and an $81 million position in Eightco Holdings. The company was added to the Russell 1000 in June, while its Series A preferred stock trades on the NYSE under the ticker BMNP.
Chairman Tom Lee said ETH has been the best-performing macro asset in the third quarter so far, outperforming the S&P 500 by 5,430 basis points. He expects potential catalysts including the CLARITY Act vote, renewed Korean crypto demand and increased institutional participation tied to tokenization and agentic AI.
