Hitachi and NVIDIA scale HMAX with multi-agent AI orchestration
The partnership expands agentic AI capabilities across industrial workflows, offering a window into the infrastructure race that increasingly overlaps with crypto-adjacent compute markets.
Hitachi and NVIDIA are working together to advance HMAX by delivering integrated Physical AI that enables autonomous operations across industrial and social infrastructure environments.
Their collaboration focuses on building an open, sovereign-enabled multi-agent orchestration platform that can securely coordinate AI agents while seamlessly connecting customer facilities, equipment, and systems from both Hitachi and third-party vendors.
The platform leverages Hitachi’s IWIM together with NVIDIA’s AI technologies to provide secure, interoperable, and vendor-agnostic automation.
To ensure safe deployment of autonomous operations, Hitachi will integrate IWIM with NVIDIA Cosmos world foundation models to create a digital twin-based validation environment. Combining Hitachi’s deep operational expertise, infrastructure knowledge, and simulation technologies with NVIDIA’s Physical AI capabilities will enable highly accurate testing and reliable AI control before implementation in critical operating environments.
Hitachi’s participation in the NVIDIA Cosmos Coalition further reinforces its commitment to advancing open Physical AI innovation.
Implementation will be accelerated through Hitachi’s Physical AI FDE Team, which will work closely with customers and partners across robotics, mobility, energy, and industrial equipment industries. Drawing on GlobalLogic’s engineering expertise alongside Hitachi’s OT capabilities, the team will validate real-world use cases, refine solutions through joint development, and continuously enhance HMAX to support broader adoption of autonomous operations and industry-wide digital transformation.
