Team Resilience qualifies for The International 2026 without a loss

The two-month-old Chinese Dota 2 squad swept through the regional qualifier with a flawless 4-0 map record to earn a spot at TI in Shanghai

A Dota 2 team that didn’t exist three months ago just punched its ticket to the biggest tournament in the game’s history. Team Resilience, formed in April 2026, went undefeated through the entire China Closed Qualifier for The International 2026, dropping zero maps across four matches to secure a direct invitation to the main event in Shanghai this August.

A perfect run through China’s gauntlet

The China Closed Qualifier ran from June 15 to June 18, featuring eight teams that had already fought through the open qualifier rounds earlier in the month. Two slots to The International were on the line. Team Resilience claimed one of them in the most emphatic way possible.

The team posted convincing 2-0 sweeps over Cloud Rising on June 15 and Team Refuser on June 16. Across the entire closed qualifier phase, Team Resilience’s record reads 4-0 in maps.

The roster features captain planet, echo, Zzq, niu, and YSR-04E, all operating under the coaching of Super.

Two months old and already at TI

Team Resilience was established in early April 2026. The squad has existed for roughly two months. In that window, they’ve compiled a domestic record of 10 wins in 13 matches.

The International 2026 is set to take place in Shanghai in August. Team Resilience’s presence adds an unpredictable wrinkle to the tournament narrative. A two-month track record, however impressive, gives analysts very little to work with when projecting performance against the best teams from Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America.
