Anthropic invests $150 million in AI workforce program for nonprofits
The AI company partners with CodePath to place early-career professionals in mission-driven organizations, starting September 2025
Anthropic has launched “Claude Corps,” a national fellowship program designed to train early-career participants to use AI in support of nonprofit organizations across the US.
The program will select and train 1,000 fellows, placing them with at least 400 nonprofits where they will work full-time for one year to help improve operations using Claude. Fellows will receive structured training, ongoing weekly support, a salary of $85,000, benefits, and mentorship from both Anthropic and partner organizations.
Anthropic is committing an initial $150 million to fund the initiative. The program is operated in partnership with CodePath, which will serve as the employer of record, and Social Finance, which will handle evaluation and long-term scaling. Applications for both fellows and host organizations are now open, with the first cohort beginning in October 2026.
