Bitcoin Bancorp to acquire 2,446 Bitcoin Depot ATMs in bankruptcy deal
The assets include associated floorspace agreements, parts inventory, intellectual property, trademarks, patents, the BitcoinDepot.com domain and other digital assets.
Bitcoin Bancorp is acquiring key Bitcoin Depot assets through its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including approximately 2,446 ATM kiosks and a portfolio of intellectual property and digital assets.
The court-approved transactions include Bitcoin Depot’s kiosks, floorspace agreements, parts inventory, trademarks, patents and BitcoinDepot.com domain. Portions of the deal have already closed, while Bitcoin Bancorp expects the remaining transactions to be completed next quarter.
Bitcoin Depot operated about 9,700 owned and leased Bitcoin ATMs in 48 US states, 10 Canadian provinces and six Australian states as of the end of 2025. The company also had BDCheckout installed at approximately 16,300 retail locations and had processed more than 4 million transactions worth about $3.4 billion since inception.
Bitcoin Bancorp said the acquisition will give it an established physical network and additional intellectual property that could accelerate expansion while reducing the resources required to build comparable infrastructure organically.
