About World Liberty Financial

World Liberty Financial is a decentralized finance project built around a governance token, also called WLFI. Holders can propose and vote on the protocol's direction, and the wider platform includes lending and borrowing features and a dollar-backed stablecoin called USD1. Its founders include Zachary Folkman, Chase Herro, Alex Witkoff, Zach Witkoff, and members of the Trump family, and the venture launched in 2024. WLFI is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, so it depends on Ethereum's proof of stake network rather than its own consensus. The token has a fixed maximum supply of 100 billion, with circulating figures that vary by source and date.
