Bitfinex Securities lists tokenized Strategy, Metaplanet and other Bitcoin stocks

Bitfinex Securities has expanded its regulated tokenized securities offering with five products designed to provide exposure to publicly traded Bitcoin treasury companies, the company said Tuesday.

The move aims to create a new secondary-market route for investors to trade tokenized versions of their securities. The products cover Strategy, Strategy’s STRC variable-rate perpetual preferred stock, Metaplanet, H100 Group and Capital B.

The listings represent the first time tokenized versions of securities issued by Bitcoin treasury companies have been offered for secondary trading on a regulated tokenized securities exchange. The products were issued through ORO (II), a Luxembourg umbrella securitization fund managed by SICOS Securities.

The five notes track the economic performance of their underlying securities and will trade against USD, Tether’s USDT, and Bitcoin. They are regulated by El Salvador’s Comisión Nacional de Activos Digitales and issued on the Liquid Network.

Bitfinex Securities said tokenized securities markets have so far been dominated by fixed-income products designed to be held to maturity. The addition of equity-backed products is intended to broaden the market and improve secondary-market liquidity, while giving eligible investors more flexible access to Bitcoin treasury strategies.

Investors can purchase the tokenized products in fractional units of up to four decimal places and use USD, USDT or Bitcoin, the firm stated. Each product has its own investor eligibility and minimum investment requirements.

The five listings are part of a wider expansion of Bitfinex Securities’ marketplace. Upcoming products include a gold yield fund, Bitcoin mining tokenized private credit notes and a tokenized US money market fund.

With the latest listings, the platform will offer 12 tokenized investment products across 27 trading pairs.
