Alphabet is the holding company that owns Google and a set of other ventures. Its businesses fall into three groups: Google Services, Google Cloud, and Other Bets. Google Services covers Search, YouTube, Android, Chrome, Gmail, Maps, Google Play, devices, and advertising, while Google Cloud sells cloud infrastructure, AI tools, security, and the Workspace productivity apps. Other Bets holds newer ventures outside the core Google business. Sundar Pichai serves as chief executive of both Alphabet and Google. The company was formed in 2015 in a restructuring of Google, and advertising still drives most of its revenue.
