About Fractal Bitcoin

Fractal Bitcoin is a Bitcoin scaling project that extends the Bitcoin Core codebase to create recursively layered infrastructure capable of processing blocks approximately every 30 seconds. The network anchors its security to Bitcoin proof-of-work hash power while aiming to support transactions and applications at much greater throughput than the Bitcoin base layer. Fractal Bitcoin launched its mainnet and introduced the FB token in 2024. The network uses a proof-of-work consensus model derived from Bitcoin's design, with an initial block reward of 25 FB and a halving schedule every 2,100,000 blocks. The native token, FB, is used to pay transaction fees, access nodes and services, participate in ecosystem governance, and support launchpads and additional layers built on the network. FB has a hard-capped maximum supply of 210 million tokens. Half is allocated to proof-of-work mining rewards, and the remainder is distributed across an ecosystem treasury, community grants, presale, advisors, and core contributors. Circulating supply was roughly 110 million FB as of recent data, with the remainder subject to ongoing mining and vesting schedules.
