OriginTrail (TRAC)USD

OriginTrail is a decentralized knowledge graph project that combines blockchain with knowledge-graph technology to make data discoverable, verifiable, and interoperable, with a focus on supply-chain and knowledge infrastructure use cases. Žiga Drev, Tomaž Levak, and Branimir Rakić founded the project, which held its initial coin offering in early 2018. The native token, TRAC, launched in 2018 as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. The project's architecture is built around the OriginTrail Decentralized Network and the Decentralized Knowledge Graph, which use blockchain as a trust and consensus layer within a permissionless node network. TRAC is the utility token of the ecosystem, used to pay for publishing knowledge assets, power operations on the Decentralized Knowledge Graph, and reward node operators and staking participants. TRAC has a fixed maximum supply of 500 million tokens, with all tokens reported to be in circulation and no further issuance planned. OriginTrail provides infrastructure for trusted data sharing and verifiable knowledge management across supply chains and other applications that require data provenance and interoperability.
