About Render
Render Network is a decentralized marketplace that connects users who need GPU computing power for tasks like 3D rendering, visual effects, and AI workloads with node operators who supply idle GPU capacity. Jules Urbach and collaborators at OTOY created the project, and the Render Token concept was publicly introduced in 2017. The native token launched as an Ethereum-based utility token and later migrated to the Solana blockchain in late 2023 following a community vote, at which point the ticker changed from RNDR to RENDER. The network's economic design uses a Burn-Mint Equilibrium model: jobs are priced in US dollars, users pay by burning RENDER tokens, and new tokens are minted on a declining schedule to reward node operators. The RENDER token is used to pay for rendering and GPU compute jobs, compensate node operators, participate in governance, and cover network fees and incentives. The maximum supply is capped at approximately 644 million RENDER, with ongoing burns reducing circulating supply over time. Render Network is a distributed GPU compute layer where creators and developers submit jobs that are executed and settled on-chain.
