About StandX DUSD
StandX DUSD is a fully collateralized, USD-referencing, yield-bearing stablecoin and the settlement and margin asset for the StandX perpetual futures decentralized exchange on BNB Chain and Solana. The protocol was built by former Binance Futures and Goldman Sachs quantitative traders operating under StandX Issuer Ltd, with the project and token introduced around 2025. DUSD launched on BNB Smart Chain as a BEP-20 token and on Solana under the Token-2022 standard, and is in active use on both networks. It does not operate its own base-layer consensus, instead relying on BNB Chain's proof-of-staked-authority and Solana's proof-of-history and proof-of-stake mechanisms. The core design is a market-neutral, fully collateralized stablecoin backed one-to-one by USDT and USDC. Yield comes from staking spot assets (ETH, BNB, and SOL) while holding offsetting short perpetual positions; this yield is distributed automatically to holders without requiring staking. Users mint DUSD by depositing USDT or USDC, hold it to earn passive real yield, and use it as collateral and margin on the StandX perps exchange. Redemptions back to USDT or USDC are available through the StandX app after a defined redemption period. DUSD functions as a yield-bearing stable store of value and trading margin currency rather than a governance or gas token. It combines stablecoin savings and derivatives margin into a single collateralized asset on two blockchains.
