Hong Kong debuts first dual Bitcoin and gold ETF from MicroBit
With the new product, the company aims to bridge traditional finance and web3.
MicroBit Capital Management has launched Hong Kong’s first ETF combining Bitcoin and gold, giving investors exposure to the two assets through a single listed product, according to a Wednesday announcement.
The fund, the MicroBit Bitcoin and Gold Value ETF, began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with an HKD counter under 3002.HK and a USD counter under 9002.HK.
According to MicroBit, the fund combines Bitcoin’s potential as a long-term digital asset with gold’s traditional role as a store of value. The manager said the inclusion of gold may help stabilize overall portfolio volatility while providing diversified exposure across the two asset classes.
The ETF allows eligible market participants to make subscriptions and redemptions in Bitcoin on an in-kind basis, offering additional flexibility for investors holding the crypto asset.
