About Ether.fi
Ether.fi is a decentralized, non-custodial liquid restaking protocol on Ethereum. Users stake ETH and earn both Ethereum staking rewards and EigenLayer restaking rewards while keeping their capital available for use in DeFi. Mike Silagadze founded the project in October 2022 and is its CEO. The liquid restaking product, which issues the wrapped token eETH, launched in November 2023. The native governance token ETHFI launched in March 2024 through an airdrop and a major exchange launchpad listing. Ether.fi runs on Ethereum and inherits its proof-of-stake consensus. It works as a liquid restaking layer integrated with EigenLayer, where pooled ETH is restaked through Ethereum validators and EigenLayer operators. The native token, ETHFI, is used for governance votes on protocol upgrades, fees, grants, and treasury management. It also functions as staking collateral for node operators within the ecosystem. ETHFI has a fixed total supply of one billion tokens, all minted at launch with no further issuance planned. As of mid-2026, roughly 97 percent of that supply is circulating, with the remainder subject to vesting schedules. The protocol is designed to give ETH holders a non-custodial way to earn multiple yield streams without sacrificing liquidity or control of their keys.
