NYSE expands tokenization push with firms serving nearly 99% of S&P 500
The exchange has expanded its network to six transfer agent partners as it prepares a platform offering 24/7 trading, instant settlement and stablecoin funding.
The New York Stock Exchange has expanded its tokenized securities initiative through agreements with Broadridge Financial Solutions, Computershare, Equiniti and Superstate as it prepares to launch a blockchain based trading platform.
The four firms join existing partners Securitize and tZERO, bringing the exchange’s network to six transfer agents supporting issuer sponsored tokenized securities.
According to NYSE, the established providers Broadridge, Computershare and Equiniti collectively serve nearly 5,000 publicly listed companies, including almost 99% of the S&P 500.
The partnerships combine traditional shareholder recordkeeping and issuer services with blockchain infrastructure developed by Securitize, Superstate and tZERO.
“This announcement continues the NYSE’s long history of reimagining market infrastructure through thoughtful and deliberate innovation,” said Lynn Martin, president of NYSE Group.
Martin added that the exchange remains focused on preserving market integrity as it develops infrastructure for tokenized securities.
Broadridge separately announced plans to provide blockchain based shareholder governance and digital transfer agency services for the platform.
The integration will support proxy voting, shareholder communications and digital identity verification, allowing investors to exercise voting rights through supported wallets and brokerage interfaces.

NYSE advances plans for 24/7 tokenized stock trading
The expansion follows NYSE’s January announcement outlining a digital trading platform designed to support 24/7 stock trading, instant settlement, dollar denominated orders and stablecoin funding.
The proposed venue will combine NYSE’s Pillar matching engine with blockchain based systems for settlement and custody, with support for multiple blockchain networks.
Subject to regulatory approval, the platform will accommodate both third party custodial tokens and issuer sponsored tokenized securities.
Both structures are intended to be fungible with traditionally issued shares, giving token holders equivalent dividend payments and shareholder voting rights.
NYSE previously partnered with Securitize in March to develop digital transfer agent infrastructure, followed by an agreement with tZERO in August.
The new trading venue remains subject to regulatory approval, with no confirmed launch date.
