Major Bulgarian bank Postbank to add crypto and stock investments to app in early 2027
The service will be developed through a partnership with a globally established investment platform.
Bulgaria’s No. 4 bank Postbank plans to let customers invest in crypto, stocks, ETFs, commodities and metals directly through its mobile app from early 2027, it said this week.
Through a partnership with an international investment platform, customers will be able to invest in thousands of international companies and access gold and other metals alongside digital assets, according to Postbank, which has not yet disclosed the identity of its investment partner.
The bank added that the planned service would support investments with smaller amounts and fractional purchases of certain assets, allowing customers to access global markets through the same app they use for everyday banking.
The expansion follows the increased use of Postbank’s digital banking services. Postbank reported strong growth in mobile banking activity, with payment volumes through the app rising 71% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2026.

Transaction numbers, meanwhile, increased nearly 47% and active mobile banking users climbed 32%. Customers now use the app more than 20 times a month on average, Postbank noted.
The bank has also added services such as parking payments, personalized lifestyle offers and shared-bill payments through its ONE wallet. Future developments include an AI assistant, an app designed for users under 18 and an updated digital lending process, as Postbank seeks to turn its app into an integrated platform for managing personal finances.
