Salesforce to cut 74 jobs in fourth layoff round in less than a year
The latest reductions affect technology, product, administrative and sales roles at Salesforce’s San Francisco headquarters.
Salesforce plans to eliminate 74 jobs at its San Francisco headquarters on October 5, marking the company’s fourth round of layoffs in less than a year.
According to a notice filed with California officials, the cuts include 37 technology and product positions, 34 administrative roles and three jobs in sales and distribution.
Salesforce did not identify the specific teams affected or provide a reason for the reductions. The company also did not say whether additional layoffs are planned at other locations.
The cuts come as Salesforce continues to expand the use of artificial intelligence across its business and positions AI as a major driver of future growth.
