SharpLink buys 10,000 Ethereum, pushing total holdings to 886,725 ETH
The Nasdaq-listed company continues its aggressive ETH treasury strategy with another eight-figure purchase at $1,611 per token
SharpLink, the Nasdaq-listed company trading under ticker $SBET, just scooped up another 10,000 ETH at an average price of $1,611 each. That brings its total Ethereum stash to a staggering 886,725 ETH.
The latest buy and what came with it
The June 30 acquisition wasn’t a one-off impulse. SharpLink had purchased 5,000 ETH just days earlier, around June 25, at prices ranging from roughly $1,537 to $1,570 per token.
Alongside the ETH purchase, SharpLink repurchased 2,132,773 shares of its own common stock at $4.69 per share.
From sports betting to crypto whale
SharpLink’s transformation didn’t happen overnight. The company has been building its ETH position through a combination of equity raises, over-the-counter transactions, and on-chain yield strategies.
One of the more notable deals in its history came in July 2025, when SharpLink acquired 10,000 ETH directly from the Ethereum Foundation for approximately $25.7M. That worked out to roughly $2,572 per ETH, nearly $1,000 more per token than what it paid for the latest batch.
SharpLink is led by Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum. The company works with Consensys, the Ethereum software company Lubin founded, and Galaxy Digital for on-chain yield strategies and infrastructure support.
The company reported Q1 2026 staking rewards of approximately 18,800 ETH. At current prices, those quarterly rewards alone represent roughly $30M in value.
What this means for investors
SharpLink now ranks as one of the largest corporate holders of Ethereum, sitting just behind Bitmine Immersion Technologies.
SharpLink bought its July 2025 batch at $2,572 per ETH. The latest purchases came in around $1,611. That means a significant portion of the treasury was acquired at prices well above where the company is buying today.
