Strategy buys 1,665 Bitcoin for $143 million as holdings near 848,000 BTC
The company holds more than 4% of the total Bitcoin supply, more than any other public company.
Strategy spent approximately $143 million on 1,665 Bitcoin last week, taking its total holdings to 847,666 BTC now valued at $70.3 billion, the company said Monday.

The acquisition was financed with net proceeds from Strategy’s MSTR share sales.
Between Sept. 21 and 27, the company sold about 1.5 million MSTR shares for $246 million and used nearly $143 million to buy Bitcoin. The remaining proceeds went toward STRC repurchases under its digital credit securities repurchase program.
Strategy bought back about 1.5 million STRC shares for nearly $152 million during the same period. Of the buyback funding, $48 million came from USD Cash, while the company allocated another $22 million from its USD Reserve to preferred-stock dividends.

As of Sept. 27, Strategy had over $5 billion in its USD Reserve and $1 billion in USD Cash.
The Bitcoin proxy reported no sales of STRF, STRC, STRK or STRD through its ATM programs during the week.
Strategy has now bought Bitcoin for two straight weeks, following a period of both buying and selling. Between Sept. 14 and 20, the company acquired 950 BTC for $76 million as it resumed accumulating.
The firm continues to hold more than 4% of Bitcoin’s total supply, giving it the largest BTC stash among public companies.
