Torino has secured a loan deal for 21-year-old centre-back Pietro Comuzzo from Fiorentina, with a €1 million loan fee and an option to buy valued between €19 million and €20 million. The agreement, finalized around July 27, 2026, gives the Turin-based club a promising defender without the immediate financial commitment of a permanent transfer.

The deal structure and what it reveals

Comuzzo, born on February 20, 2005, joined Fiorentina’s youth academy back in 2019 and broke into the senior squad in 2023. His contract with the Viola runs all the way through June 30, 2029, which gave Fiorentina substantial leverage in negotiations.

Fiorentina previously valued Comuzzo at around €40 million when clubs like Napoli, Juventus, and Manchester United came knocking during the 2025-2026 season. The fact that he’s now heading to Torino on a loan with an option to buy at roughly half that valuation tells a story about how clubs manage asset depreciation and playing-time economics.

Comuzzo’s current market value sits at an estimated €18 million. The buy option slightly exceeds that figure, giving Fiorentina a small premium if Torino decides to make the move permanent.
