About Pump.fun
Pump.fun is a Solana-based launchpad and trading platform that lets anyone create a memecoin and trade it right away, with tokens able to graduate to decentralized exchanges. It removes the need for coding, so users can launch, buy, and sell tokens directly on the site. Noah Tweedale, Alon Cohen, and Dylan Kerler launched it on January 19, 2024. New tokens are priced through a bonding curve, where the algorithm sets the price from supply and demand, rather than through mining or staking. The platform's own PUMP token is an SPL token on Solana, with a reported total supply of one trillion split across public sale, community, team, investors, and liquidity.
