Torino confirms RB Salzburg and Crystal Palace in talks for Alieu Njie
The 21-year-old Swedish winger has attracted bids from both clubs, with Crystal Palace reportedly offering up to €26 million while RB Salzburg sits at around €12 million.
Alieu Njie’s agent has confirmed what the rumor mill had been churning for weeks: both RB Salzburg and Crystal Palace are actively negotiating with Torino to sign the young Swedish winger. For a player whose market value sits at roughly €3 million, the bidding war unfolding around him tells you everything about how clubs price potential over production these days.
Crystal Palace’s latest offer reportedly lands around €26 million including bonuses. RB Salzburg, meanwhile, is working with a considerably leaner budget, putting forward approximately €12 million, split between a €10 million fixed fee and €2 million in performance-related add-ons.
The bidding landscape
Torino has already turned down lower initial offers for Njie, signaling the club isn’t in a rush to sell. With his contract running through June 2029, plus an option to extend for another year, they hold significant leverage.
Crystal Palace’s pursuit has intensified over time, with bids reportedly ranging between €19 million and €26 million as negotiations have progressed.
Earlier in the transfer window, Wolves were also linked with Njie. That interest appears to have cooled, leaving the race as a two-horse contest between Palace and Salzburg.

Who is Alieu Njie?
Born on May 14, 2005, Njie is a left winger who can also operate as a forward. He arrived at Torino’s youth setup in 2021 after departing Swedish club Forssa BK. He spent three years developing in the academy before breaking into the senior squad in 2024.
His first-team debut came with a scoring flourish. Njie found the net for the first time in October 2024, announcing himself to Serie A audiences in the most direct way possible.
At 21, Njie represents exactly the type of prospect that top-flight clubs across Europe are willing to overpay for relative to current output. The €3 million market valuation reflects what he has done so far. The €26 million Crystal Palace is reportedly willing to spend reflects what they think he could become.
