Yahoo Finance ends partnership with Polymarket for prediction market hub
The dedicated prediction markets hub lasted roughly five months before being quietly pulled, though Polymarket remains an advertising partner across Yahoo's properties.
Yahoo Finance has pulled the plug on its data partnership with Polymarket, removing the dedicated prediction markets hub that had been live on the platform since early 2026. The collaboration, once touted as an exclusive deal bringing real-time betting odds into one of the internet’s most-visited financial portals, lasted about five to six months before both sides mutually agreed to walk away.
The agreement formally concluded on September 18, 2026. Neither company disclosed a specific reason for ending the data integration.
What the partnership actually looked like
When the deal was first announced in November 2025, Polymarket was named Yahoo Finance’s exclusive prediction market partner. The arrangement embedded Polymarket’s real-time probability data for economic and market outcomes directly alongside Yahoo Finance’s news coverage and analysis tools.
The dedicated hub went live around late January or early February 2026. For a few months, Yahoo Finance users could see prediction market odds on everything from Federal Reserve rate decisions to economic indicators without leaving the platform.
Then, sometime in April 2026, the hub was taken down. The formal termination followed months later in September, suggesting the two companies spent the interim period winding down the technical and contractual details of the arrangement.

The relationship isn’t fully over
Yahoo Finance confirmed that while the specific data agreement is finished, Polymarket continues as an advertising partner across Yahoo’s broader properties. Polymarket is maintaining data partnerships with other media outlets, and no changes have been reported to its advertising relationship with Yahoo.
What this says about prediction markets and mainstream media
The competitive landscape has also shifted. Kalshi, a US-regulated prediction market platform, has established partnerships with major news outlets including CNN, CNBC, and Fox. That creates a crowded field where media companies have multiple potential partners to choose from, and where exclusivity deals may be less attractive than they appeared a year ago.
For investors and traders who relied on the Yahoo Finance hub as a convenient window into prediction market sentiment, the options are now more fragmented. They can still access Polymarket directly, or find prediction market data through other media outlets, but the one-stop-shop convenience of having those probabilities nested inside Yahoo Finance’s ecosystem is gone.
