Aerodrome’s cbStock pools enable continuous trading of equities on Base
The leading DEX on Coinbase's Base blockchain is letting users trade tokenized Nvidia, Apple, Meta, and Google shares around the clock, and weekend price action is actually tracking Monday opens.
The stock market closes at 4 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday. Aerodrome, the dominant decentralized exchange on Coinbase’s Base blockchain, would like to change that.
The platform launched liquidity pools for tokenized equities on August 24, letting traders buy and sell versions of Nvidia, Apple, Meta, and Google shares 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And the early data suggests this isn’t just a novelty: stocks on Aerodrome averaged a 0.39% price change over the weekend, closely matching where traditional markets opened on Monday morning.
That last detail matters more than it sounds. It means the prices forming in these pools aren’t random noise. They’re reflecting real market sentiment during hours when the NYSE and Nasdaq are dark.
The numbers so far
In the initial days after launch, cumulative trading volume across the four equity pools hit roughly $103 million, with daily peaks reaching about $27 million.
The NVDAc liquidity pool, which tracks Nvidia shares, launched with initial liquidity of around $957,000.
Aerodrome’s governance token, AERO, climbed approximately 11% to around $0.53 following the announcement.

The tokenized stocks carry the “c” suffix, as in NVDAc, AAPLc, METAc, and GOOGLc, built on Coinbase’s B20 standard. Each token is backed 1:1 by actual shares held in regulated custody, batched under Abu Dhabi Global Market regulations.
Why 24/7 stock trading matters
Traditional equity markets operate roughly 6.5 hours per day, five days per week. That leaves about 75% of the week’s hours in the dark, a period where news keeps breaking but prices stay frozen.
The 0.39% average weekend price change on Aerodrome’s pools suggests that traders are actively using these off-hours to position themselves. And because those moves aligned with Monday’s traditional open, the price discovery happening onchain appears to be legitimate rather than the product of thin-book manipulation.
One notable limitation: this service is currently available only to eligible users outside the United States.
AI-powered liquidity and competitive implications
Aerodrome has also partnered with Bankr, which brings AI-driven tools designed to optimize liquidity management within these pools.
