Anchorage Digital Bank expands custody to Etherlink and tokenized uranium

The federally chartered crypto bank added support for xU3O8 alongside six other Etherlink assets as tokenized commodity markets expand.

Anchorage Digital Bank has added custody support for Etherlink and seven assets issued on the Tezos layer 2 network, including xU3O8, a token backed by physical uranium.

The integration gives Anchorage institutional clients access to segregated custody for assets on Etherlink, an Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible network that settles on Tezos.

Supported assets include xU3O8, wrapped XTZ, stXTZ, USDT, USDC, USDSM and wrapped Ether.

xU3O8 represents ownership of physical uranium, allowing investors to gain exposure to the commodity without directly handling or storing it. The token has a market capitalization of just over $9 million at current prices.

Anchorage said tokenization could make uranium exposure more accessible by reducing reliance on specialist intermediaries and shortening settlement times.

Traditional uranium transactions can involve relatively high minimum investment sizes and settlement periods lasting weeks. Tokenized uranium can instead be transferred and settled within minutes, according to the company.

Anchorage becomes another institutional custodian supporting xU3O8 after Hex Trust added custody for Etherlink and the uranium backed token in August 2025.

The move expands Anchorage Digital Bank’s support for tokenized real world assets as more commodities and traditional financial instruments move onchain.
