Anthropic launched Artifacts for Claude for Legal on Wednesday, adding interactive tools such as trackers and dashboards that lawyers build in Claude and keep using over time, Legal IT Insider reported. A gallery of ready-to-use artifacts covers contract review, cite checking, legal intake and jurisdiction surveys.
A tabular review artifact answers questions across a set of contracts and shows the supporting quote and page for each answer, while a regulatory tracking artifact scans for developments that lawyers can assign to business owners. Artifacts can be shared inside or outside an organization, with settings that support ethical walls between teams.
Access-to-justice tools for nonprofits
Anthropic is funding a program that gives law schools and public interest groups Claude access to build access-to-justice artifacts; the gallery includes 12, five built by nonprofits. Robert Mahari, head of Claude for Legal, described an artifact as “a visual interface that allows you to do a certain type of legal work.”
